The course SPSS Statistical analysis is a combination of theory and practice, mainly lecturing Statistical analysis software SPSS (Statis-tical products and solutions Service solution) and its application. Content includes the introduction of SPSS, Data files and editing, data collection, clas-sification and arrangement of data files and trans-formation, Numerical analysis process (descriptive statistics analysis and variance analysis, comparative analysis, the mean of linear regression analysis method and case analysis), graphic analysis process (bar chart, histogram graph, etc.). Teaching is mainly through the lectures, combining with examples of statistical model’s implementation process using SPSS, then students do personally to complete the exercises or cases given by the teacher. Generally, cases are selected strictly, most are eco-nomic and management cases that combined with practical closely as well as psychology, medical experiment examples which are easy to explain and understand. Studying this course may raise student's practical analysis ability, improve the ability of mastering the use of advanced tools, also master the skills of living. Finally, it will lay a good foundation for students’ scientific research work in future by making use of computer and software com-prehensively.

统计学是研究不确定性现象数量规律性的方法论科学，是对客观现象进行定量分析的重要工具。本课程的教学内容侧重于统计方法在经济管理中的应用。通过学习，学生能够基本掌握在经济管理等方面的一般统计分析方法，能够运用Microsoft Excel以及SPSS统计分析软件对实际问题进行统计分析，提高学生解决实际问题的能力，也为高级统计方法的学习和研究打下基础。学生需要重点掌握应用统计学在经济和工商企业的管理等方面的初级统计分析方法；重点掌握SPSS统计分析软件包或Excel软件的基本操作。掌握统计分析软件数据搜集和整理的基本方法，管理和规范数据集；掌握基础的数据描述功能，理解和使用各种不同的统计图形；掌握均值差异比较与检验的方法，理解方差分析的概念；理解相关分析的原理，掌握两变量的相关性分析方法；了解回归分析、聚类判别分析、因素分析等高级统计分析方法；能够根据实际的统计分析要求，选择合适的统计方法，运用统计分析软件独立完成和实现。
